A master photographer, Paul Caponigro has been at the forefront of American photography for the better part of seventy years. Caponigro is renowned for his breathtaking, ethereal images that have often been described as intuitively spiritual, with subjects that range from still lifes to landscapes and natural forms. The artist also trained as a concert pianist and credits music as being essential to his photographic work.
Originally from Boston, Caponigro studied at the Boston University College of Music, followed by the California School of Fine Art, where celebrated photographer Ansel Adams established one of the first photography programs in the United States. The artist has photographed all over the world and received numerous international awards and fellowships.
