What’s on view
Impact Zones
Impact Zones features immersive works by North Carolina-based artist April Flanders. Flanders uses printmaking, vinyl, and papercutting in her work and will create two multi-layered, large-scale installations unique to the Hunter Museum. These pieces will explore the interaction of native and invasive species through the lens of forest and river ecosystems specific to Tennessee, which are impacted daily by both natural and external forces. Flanders’ art practice employs a bold use of color, texture, and form to draw the viewer’s attention to the delicate equilibrium of our ecosystems. Impact Zones will be on view August 16, 2024 - August 4, 2025. This exhibition is made possible through the generous support of the First Horizon Foundation.
