Logo Competition

The Hunter Museum needs a fun new logo for summer camp and we would like your help. The winning logo will be printed on summer camp t-shirts, which are given to every camper. Vote now for your favorite design from one of our five finalists.

What is the Hunter Kid's Logo Competition?

kids logoThe Hunter Museum wants to spice up its white and red H and M logo for summer camp and we want YOU to design it!

We are asking the young artists of Chattanooga to redesign the Hunter Museum's logo so it expresses the creative fun of summer camp. Submitted designs will be posted to the Museum's Web site and voted on. Yes, we want you, your family, and your friends to select the winning design.

The winning design will be featured on the Museum Web site's home page and printed on summer camp t-shirts for campers and staff.

Who can participate?

Any child between the ages of 5 and 14 from southeast Tennessee and north Georgia can participate in the Summer Camp Logo Competition. Schools and other organizations working with children are also welcome to participate.

How can I get involved?

Redesign the Hunter's logo following the guidelines below. Then submit your design via email to Erin Noseworthy or mail or drop off your design to:

Be sure to include the Contest Registration Form with your design. Designs submitted without this form will not be entered into the competition.

After submitting your design, check the Hunter Museum's online photo gallery to view your design and the designs submitted by others. All designs that follow the guidelines below will appear on the Museum's Web site a few days after their submission.

Logo designs must be submitted by April 1, 2010. Submitted designs will be reviewed by Museum staff who will select the three finalists. On April 12, 2010 voting on the finalists' designs will open. Cast your vote for your favorite design before April 30, 2010 and remind all your friends and family to do the same. Your votes will determine the winning design!

Competition guidelines

  • Start with the Hunter logo template.
  • The size of your design may not exceed 10 X 10 inches
  • The Hunter's H and M logo should be clearly visible and recognizable.
  • Your design can be in pencil, crayons, marker or paint, or can be done using a computer program. (Your design must be two-dimensional)
  • Your design may use no more than 3 colors (the background is white)
  • Use your imagination and create an original design.
  • You can submit as many designs as you like, but you may only cast one vote per design.
  • All designs must be submitted by April 1, 2010.
  • Design submissions must include a completed contest registration form.
  • Voting will take place April 12 through April 30, 2010.

What will I win if my design is selected?

The design receiving the most votes will become the Museum's Summer Camp logo, which will be printed on t-shirts given to all campers and staff. The winning designer can attend a summer camp of their choosing for free and will receive a summer camp t-shirt printed with their design.
