Analysis

Andy Warhol is perhaps the best known Pop artist in the world, a style of art named for its manipulation of popular culture in fine art. Created at a time when mass production was creating great consumerism, these artists called attention to our relationship to the many products we use daily. Here Warhol focuses on fame as a product by presenting a famous political figure, Jimmy Carter, whose face is as much of a product as any other mass consumed item.
