The Twitter Experience

tweetThe Hunter recently became one of the millions of people, organizations and groups to join the fun on Twitter . Twitter is a unique social network where members answer the simple question, "what are you doing?" The Hunter sees Twitter as a more interactive and timely way to keep in touch with visitors and hear from art lovers both near and far.

Over the past two months, I've enjoyed watching our followership grow as well as following the tweets of others. I even got to meet a few of you at the Chattanooga ChattUp in August - let's do it again real soon! Maybe we can meet-up at our house next time.

Most of the Hunter's tweets (tweets are updates made to a user's Twitter page) are museum event updates or links to new additions to the Hunter's Web site. Other museums like the NMNH, the Palmer Museum, and the Brooklyn Museum have really taken advantage of Twitter and given me some great ideas for future tweets. However, I would also like to hear from you. What would you like to know about the Hunter in 140 characters or less? How can the Hunter's tweets brighten your Twitter homepage? Let me know by tweeting to @HunterMuseum on Twitter or leaving a comment here.

As a side note, check out twittervision to see what people are doing right now around the world.
