Enjoy a great evening and support the Hunter

The fall seems to be a busy season for everyone with school functions, athletic events, and, of course, holiday gatherings. Here at the Hunter the staff has been busy preparing for Spectrum, our annual fundraising gala and art auction.

For the Hunter staff and our dedicated volunteers, work begins in early summer. Members of the art selection committee begin their visits to galleries all over the country to find the best works for both the live and silent auctions. The gala committee decides on a theme for the event and begins work on the logistics of the evening. Staff and volunteers work together to do everything from bringing in the auction items, creating the invitations and catalog, to booking the entertainment and creating the decorations.  The goal of this hard work is to ensure that the event is successful and that everyone who attends has a great time.

Spectrum offers friends of the Hunter Museum the opportunity to support the Museum's mission while enjoying a great night of art, food and music. This year's event takes its cue from the spirit of the famous Las Vegas shows of the 1950s and '60s. Cocktails and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be offered throughout the evening with some special "Vegas-inspired" surprises. Entertainment will be provided by Teren Bose and the Swing Set.

The live and silent auctions offer the opportunity to purchase works at a variety of price points. Many novice collectors have started their collections with a purchase from Spectrum.

Whether it's your first time at Spectrum or your 15th, the event offers the opportunity to enjoy a great evening in a beautiful setting and the chance to support Chattanooga's art museum.

Join us this Saturday for Spectrum.

Katrina Craven,
Director of Public Relations and Marketing
